Arkansas and Oklahoma

We’re on our way west for the winter. Our stop in Fayetteville Arkansas was at our former neighbors Curt and Becky. John and Curt spent a couple of days fine-tuning the RV and car for the winter. I got some internet shopping done and hope to be able to pick up items at a couple of post offices over the next few weeks. We were also able to meet Becky’s daughter. Got to say having access to laundry and a clean shower was nice!

Natural Falls State Park is in Oklahoma. The big thing they advertise is that parts of “Where the Red Fern Grows” was filmed here. I’ve never seen the movie so that wasn’t a big draw for us. The falls wasn’t that big and not much was green due to a dry season. But there were lots of ferns in the lower section.

The park is a good one for hikes. The mornings are cold but I still did a couple of hikes.

I liked the dew collecting on the spider webs.

Saw the Supermoon, but it was difficult to get a good picture.
