I
love walking the halls of Fort Barrancas.
The official name of this hall is the scarp gallery along the inner wall. There is also a counterscarp gallery that is
on the outer wall.
The
brickwork of the fort is amazing. Plus,
in this hotter weather it’s cooler inside due to the thick brick walls.
The
fort was used to defend against naval attack.
It makes for a beautiful view of the gulf.
