Flying stories

I'm back from my 2nd business trip.  I'm off on another trip next week.  Two stories from flying home.

- There was a couple at the check-in desk with luggage piled up everywhere.  The lady behind the desk was saying "That will be $90 extra for the luggage."

The guys says "$9?",

"No, 9-0".  Where have these people been that they didn't know you have to pay big bucks for checked in luggage?  Besides the hassle of carrying all this luggage, that's why they say to travel light.  Personally, I think it's stupid it's an extra fee for luggage along with the extra fee for pretzels or a headset.  Just charge us the right fee for the flight and include all that.  Flying is absolutely no fun anymore.

- As each flight is called, the desk agent makes a big deal about walking on the right side of the pole.  Supposedly to make 1st class and frequent fliers happy, Delta has a pole so that privileged people can walk on one side with a 4' long dark blue rug while the masses walk on the other side with only the standard airport floor.  It's hilarious.  After the pole the two groups walk on the same path.  But, the agent will get mad if you dare walk on the blue rug side.

The picture is from Delta online explaining how much better this is for the 'elite' travelers!
