Acadia Animals and Inside Stuff

We saw two rafters of turkeys on the island. Hopefully they escape a Thanksgiving fate.

Three deer at the entrance to our campground.  We saw more deer during our visit.

A school of minnow.  There were literally hundreds of these fish in this one spot.

Sea life washed up on the beach…it includes large 6” wide seaweed, a purple shell, and some other plant life.

Whale skull at a local museum.  A big whale!!

Our view while eating dinner (seafood, of course).

We visited a museum of old cars.  It was interesting even for me (a non-car person) but John really loved it.

There’s a brewery on the island making Bar Harbor and Atlantic Brewing Company beer.  They have a tour explaining the process and then a tasting.  The beer was excellent so we bought one of the varieties. But I thought it was funny that most of the group bought the mustard they served with the pretzels.  We just wanted to ‘clear the palate’ for the next beer, but that mustard was great!
